Nia is a blend of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts. With playful movement patterns based on the way the body is anatomically designed to move (The Body’s Way), and complemented with FreeDance that engages your individual movement expression, Nia is a unique mix of science and spirit. Most of all, it’s just fun! This fitness practise, based in pleasure and joy, may just be the class for you!
Leave all those distractions behind as you step into a Nia class and emerge an hour later feeling energised and alive in your body, mentally clear, emotionally balanced, and free in your spirit.

Nia 5 Stages
60 minutes
Nia 5 Stages is a physical practice based on five stages of human development: Embryonic, Creeping, Crawling, Standing and Walking.
Consciously moving through these stages as an adult re-integrates the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual elements in such a way that even after just five minutes of practice, participants notice improvements in power, range of motion, standing and walking taller, and ease in areas of their bodies other forms of exercise do not affect. This process of realignment allows the body to do what it is designed to do: explore its potential, self-heal and grow.
The 5 Stages class is a guided movement meditation class exploring these 5 developmental movements. The classes are held from time to time as special events or in workshops.

MoveIT
60 minutes
MoveIT is a new Interval Training workout that safely challenges physical endurance, strength and cardiovascular fitness.
The MoveIT class is a 60-minute cardiovascular conditioning experience based on the science of hybrid interval training. Interval training alternates bouts of high intensity movement with rest. Participants shift from one move to the next every 60 seconds, progressively moving through all 52 moves. Encouragement is given to self-guide your movements, modulating range of motion, energy dynamics, and intensity levels, which makes it ideal of beginners or athletes alike. This is also a great way to learn the language of Nia, the 52 moves.
